If you have been wanting to learn more about the life of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, understand the Hijrah more clearly, or fill in some of the gaps between the familiar events of the Sirah, this is a good time to download a copy.

The book is written for Muslims and non-Muslims alike, including new Muslims, lifelong Muslims, and anyone interested in understanding one of the defining turning points in Islamic history.

More Than a Journey from Makkah to Madinah

The Hijrah is often described simply as the migration of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and the early Muslims from Makkah to Madinah.

But it was much more than a change of place.

It came after years of Revelation, persecution, pressure, loss, courage, preparation, and growing support for the message of Islam.

The Hijrah: The Journey That Changed History begins with the first Revelation and follows the development of the early Muslim community through the Makkan years, the Night Journey and Ascension, the pledges at Aqabah, the decision to migrate, the journey itself, the arrival in Madinah, the building of the new community, and the events leading to the Battle of Badr and its immediate aftermath.

Many of us know individual parts of this history.

We know about the Cave of Thawr.

We know about Abu Bakr and his companionship with the Prophet ﷺ.

We know that the Muslims left Makkah and settled in Madinah.

We know about Badr.

But unless we have studied the Sirah in some depth, these events can remain separate in our minds.

One of my main goals in writing this book was to connect them.

I wanted readers to be able to follow the sequence of events and understand why the Hijrah happened, how it was prepared for, who made it possible, what dangers surrounded it, and how profoundly it changed the future of Islam.

Written to Be Readable

This is not intended to be an academic textbook.

It is a carefully researched historical account written for ordinary readers.

Names, events, places, and background are explained as the story develops so that someone who is relatively new to Islamic history can follow without constantly stopping to look things up.

At the same time, I wanted readers who already know the basic Sirah to discover details and connections they may not have encountered before.

It can be read personally, shared within a family, used alongside Islamic studies, or given to a new Muslim who wants to understand how the early Muslim community developed.

It is also suitable for non-Muslim readers who are interested in learning about Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and the beginnings of Islam from an accessible historical account.

A Small Hijrah Collection

The main book now has two companion resources.

The Hijrah Reflection Journal takes the themes of the historical Hijrah and turns them toward our own lives: what we may need to leave behind, what we are moving toward, how we respond when faith becomes difficult, whom we listen to, how we combine effort with trust in Allah, and what kind of life we are building.

The Hijrah Activity Book is designed for children aged approximately nine and above, with explanations, questions, puzzles, a maze, word search, crossword, and other activities that help children become familiar with the people and events of the Hijrah.

Together, the three books offer different ways of approaching the same history: learning it, reflecting on it, and helping younger readers engage with it.

The Kindle edition of The Hijrah: The Journey That Changed History is free on Amazon until Sunday, September 13.

If the book sounds useful to you, please download it while the promotion is running and feel free to share the offer with friends, family, study groups, new Muslims, homeschooling families, or anyone else who may benefit.

And if you read the book and find it worthwhile, I would be very grateful if you would consider leaving a short review on Amazon.

For independent authors, reviews help books become more visible and help other readers decide whether a book may be right for them.

I hope The Hijrah helps readers see these extraordinary events not as isolated episodes from the distant past, but as one connected history of faith, courage, preparation, sacrifice, and the building of a new community.

May Allah place barakah in it and allow it to be of benefit.
